Elizabeth A. Ermel is originally from Ridgewood, New Jersey and earned her B.A. from Vanderbilt University. Upon completing her undergraduate work, Ms. Ermel lived in New York City, and worked in the investment banking business. While in New York, her passion for the law began to sprout, particularly in the area of trial practice. Ms. Ermel attended The University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, FL, where she graduated cum laude in 2001. Earning Honors in Litigation Skills and the Book Award in Ethics in the Criminal Law Context, Ms. Ermel was also awarded the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Scholarship in the year 2001.
Prior to opening her practice, Ms. Ermel was an Assistant State Attorney in Palm Beach County, FL and an Associate at the law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker P.A., in West Palm Beach, FL. She has also prosecuted Dependency and Termination of Parental Rights cases on behalf of the FL Department of Children and Families in Palm Beach County, FL. Additionally, Ms. Ermel currently serves as counsel to a private family investment trust located in Palm Beach County, Florida. On behalf of the trust, she negotiates the purchase and sale of properties, conducts due diligence land use research, prepares re-zoning proposals and drafts all contracts associated with construction projects.
Ms. Ermel is licensed to practice in all Florida state courts and the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida.
